Meet the Superior Home Loans Team!

Bart Swan is the President and Co-owner of Superior Home Loans, LLC, headquartered in Niceville, FL. He is also co-founder of the HOFE Institute, a not-for-profit educational corporation. He brings a wealth of knowledge on mortgage finance to his clients and the HOFE Institute, including credit scoring, rent vs. own comparison, and management of equity into an overall financial plan leading to wealth creation for you and your family.

Bart began his career in mortgage finance in Dallas, TX, as a Loan Officer with a large mortgage bank. He then opened and managed a branch of the same company in Frisco, a suburb north of Dallas. His experience and success eventually led him to open his own company based in his hometown of Niceville. He brings the systematic approach of a bank together with the  advantages of a broker to create a positive and  fiscally responsible mortgage lending experience for the clients and friends of Superior Home Loans.

Bart is a Certified Mortgage Planner^® and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of West Florida. He is a Rotarian and won the 2006 “Service Above Self” award. Bart and his wife, Wendy, have four children. He sings in his church choir, and enjoys taking his kids to the local park to watch the boats launch.

Steve  Schutt is the Vice President and Co-owner of Superior Home Loans, LLC. He is also the co-founder of the Home Owners Financial Education Institute, a not for profit organization created with the mission to educate our community on matters pertaining to home ownership and personal finance.                                                                                                                                               Steve considers himself a native to the Niceville as his father’s military service brought his family to the area at a young age. He had the privilege of graduating from both Niceville High School and the University of Florida. Steve has been active in the Niceville-Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce for over 5 years and serves on the executive board as the Vice Chairman of the Membership Development Division, board of directors, and numerous other committees. He also serves on the administrative board for the First United Methodist Church of Niceville.

Steve is a Certified Mortgage Planner^® and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida.  Steve and his wife, Leanne, have two daughters:  Evelyn and Gwendolyn. They enjoy traveling and spending their free time with anything involving being out doors. 

Dave Swan is the Office Manager for Superior Home Loans, LLC. Claiming to be “the pretty face in the front office” he maintains the books and performs many of the day-to-day office functions for Superior Home Loans and the HOFE Institute.

Dave is retired from the Navy and after 23 and a half years of service settled in Northwest Florida. His two married sons, Bart and Dan, both graduated from Niceville High School, and between them Dave has seven grandchildren with one more on the way.

Dave enjoys being “G-Pa”, Niceville High School sports, the annual Blue Angel Homecoming Air Show at NAS Pensacola, and road trips near or far. Being an automobile enthusiast and “G-Pa”, his vehicle of choice is his Chevy Silverado, affectionately dubbed “Grandpa’s Ultimate Driving Machine”.
